Return: The Returning 2K10

by on Jul.20, 2010, under Site News

After a gruesomely long hiatus, I’ve decided to start updating dimfuture.net again. You heard me! Be on the lookout for more insouciance presently. In the meantime, try not to mind the usual clutter, nor the embarrassingly old content. Wow, how about that Sarah Jane Adventures, huh guys?

Dimfuture Nominated for Blogger’s Choice!

by on Jun.08, 2007, under Site News

Out of the blue, a kind soul has nominated dimfuture.net for a Blogger’s Choice Award — the most recognition we’ve received since being involuntarily signed up for the Krull Cosplay Enthusiast’s Webring back in 1997. Man, those were good times. Cheap gin, horse-faced hookers, and the world was our oyster. I remember waking up in a dumpster behind Circus Circus, dressed like Ergo the Magnificent, with no memory of how I got there…

Well, anyway. dimfuture.net has been nominated for best pop culture blog, best entertainment blog, and best geek blog. If you’ve enjoyed reading our missives on Godzilla, kung-fu movies, and the finer points of dreadful Filmation cartoons, then I hope you’ll take the time to stop by, make an account, and vote. I know it’s a lot to ask, but think of the power! Think of the prestige! There will be no limit to what we can accompish together! We will rule the Galaxy as writer and read– okay, forget it. Just drop us a vote, huh? Please?

No One Writes Fridays

by on May.17, 2007, under Site News

Hey, everyone. I ended up not having time to do a No One Reads Fridays this week — I have to go out of town for a funeral. I’ll be back next week, hopefully with a review of Spider-Man 3, The Fountain, and Pan’s Labyrinth — all of which I had the pleasure of viewing this week.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Chopsocky Is Coming!

by on Apr.17, 2007, under Site News

I’m pleased to announce that dimfuture.net has managed to secure the services of kung-fu fan (and master) Craig, who will be heading up our new weekly feature, CHOPSOCKY! Chopsocky will be dedicated to kung fu films both profound and abysmal, and everything in between, with the kind of humor and passion only Craig can provide. And, best of all, it lets my lazy ass off the hook for another day every week.

So enjoy!

Or Check Into a Psycho Ward, Whichever Comes First

by on Mar.20, 2007, under Site News

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but there have been… things. Mysterious, creepy things I can’t talk about, lest my life be forfeit. Actually, I’ve had houseguests and a bit of change on the job front. It’s actually all very dull, despite my feeble attempts to pump it up. It has, however, kept me from bringing you bloggy goodness, but we’ll soon fix that — again. Thanks for keeping the faith.
