Or Check Into a Psycho Ward, Whichever Comes First

Daniel Swensen

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but there have been… things. Mysterious, creepy things I can’t talk about, lest my life be forfeit. Actually, I’ve had houseguests and a bit of change on the job front. It’s actually all very dull, despite my feeble attempts to pump it up. It has, however, kept me from bringing you bloggy goodness, but we’ll soon fix that — again. Thanks for keeping the faith.

Kurt Russell is staying with you? Wow, and all you had to do was blog about Big Trouble in Little China. He must really love his fans :)

It’s true, he’s awesome. Just try keeping beer in the house, though.

I just discovered your blog this weekend and have been really enjoying it. Your style of humor in movie reviews is inspiring me towards the kinda tone I want in my own writing, to write like I talk with friends. Much appreciated.

Ever think of doing an in-depth rant/critique of the Del Toro Hellboy film? It sounds like you’d have a lot to say. I’d also love to hear your reaction to Hellboy: Blood & Iron, if you got a chance to view it. And any thoughts on the new Casino Royale? I was laughing just thinking about what you might have to say about all three of these.

Hey, Bill, thanks a lot and welcome! I could definitely talk ad nauseum about the Hellboy film — I think I’ll go ahead and put that on my to-do list. I haven’t seen Blood & Iron or Casino Royale yet, but will probably be sounding off on both when I do. I was actually just thinking the other day about whether or not a James Bond flick would fit the genre “restrictions” of the site… but ol’ Jack always says what the hell.
