Vincent Macropod in “Not So Fresh”
Reverend MattI would like to formally welcome Craig to the list of contibutors to this here site, and I would like to do it right now. So I am! With Craig on board, Dimfuture enters the next level. If he can’t whip Dan and I into shape, we will not be whipped. That sounded cooler in my head. Anyway, you already see Craig’s genius, and the effect he’s had on Dan! Will I follow suit? Not after this post that Dan’s got for tomorrow, which will be crushing my will to live.
Anyway, here’s a cartoon of some sort, and below, annotations for same!
- This is, of course, not really about my wife. No no! Seriously, where it came from is the fact that I drew Isabelle’s hands as being freakishly colossal last week, for some goddamn reason. “Why are her hands so stinkin’ huge?” I asked myself. Here we see why.
- My wife would never kill me with a katana. She would kill me with her bare hands.

I have no idea why, but it took me a good minute to stop laughing after I read that.
I once took a picture of my wife standing in front of a tower. I took it at a weird angle, and she looked enormous because of the perspective. I then learned that it is not appropriate to describe your wife, or even her photographic representation, as resembling a “sasquatch”.

This Macropod is… really surreal, bizarre, almost Lynchian in proportions. I laughed very hard. I think it might also be the most quotable Macropod to date.
“Mom of God!”
“You killed Sammy Davis Jr!”
“God hell! Giant hands!”

I know that look VM has in the 4th panel. I see it in Ace periodically. Then it’s smackin’ time!

Thanks so much for welcomming me on board. I’ve had a very positive experience as a dimfuture contributor so far, and I look forward to many more weeks of entertainment and information. Now, let me find my inspiration stick, and we’ll see about the whipping into shape.

By the way, Vincent’s expression in the next-to-last panel really reminds me of this.
