Sha Po Lang

A renegade cop on the edge… They pushed him too far… Now he’s out for his own brand of … *snore*

If I’d read a plot synopsis of Sha Po Lang before I saw the cast, I never would have picked it up. Fortunately, my local movie dealer knew of my Donnie Yen addiction, and practically shoved the box in my pocket.

Computer Joke

Ah, where to begin. We got the first major snowstorm here last weekend. For days, it was the big lead on the news. The news. Because A) Nobody knew it had snowed, and B) It was so newsworthy! Snow in Minnesota in December! HOLY CRAP

Ah well.

This week’s cartoon is dedicated to Aaron Engler and Bill Singletary. Actually, they really deserve co-writer credit. What in the name of all that is holy does that mean? Find out below!

Legendary Weapons of China, a.k.a. Legendary Weapons of Kung Fu

My brother was by for a visit. This is news, because he lives in Austria (beer halls and sausages, not kangaroos). We hadn’t seen each other for about eleven years.

Even in the best cases, family relationships can be … complicated. Alan and I have been through much of the good times and bad times that are typical of siblings. Among the good times, Alan introduced me to much of the music I now listen to, a handful of the books on my shelf, and gave me my first taste of martial arts action movies when I was a wee lad.

Tardy

I’m back! Just as I promised. And I will never leave you again! Unless something sufficiently disastrous as to force me to should occur. Like happened just now. This always remains a possibility. I mean, let’s not go nuts here.

Thanks again to all who have wished me well during my nightmarish recent troubles. But enough about those. Cartoon!

Sick

Awright, folks, the Deal: No Vincent Macropod last week because I spent most of it in the hospital. My kidney stones were actin’ up somethin’ fierce, Maw, and it just weren’t in me. Or rather, I was trapped in a horrible building with no real access to art supplies or the Internet. Now, now I’m trapped at home, convalescing from the multiple kidney-stone-related operations I’ve had in the last few weeks. So I fear I’m going to go ahead and take the cartoon’s absence last week and make it a two-week hiatus; do please forgive me. Vincent Macropod will be back in its usual style on Wednesday, November 28th. THIS I SWEAR.

In the meantime, please enjoy this picture of our hero shooting at a vulture, hastily drawn on college-ruled!
